Happy Island Dog Training is overseen by the brains behind the Canine Trade Group dog training network: John Van Olden. He created the network in order to implement a standard for dog training. No matter where you are in the United States (and now in Aruba), you can rest assured you will be getting the best canine behavioral services for your dog.
Canine Trade Group trainers are certified, participate in ongoing education in the canine behavior field, and are, of course, passionate about what they do.
Happy Island Dog Training is here to help with all of your Aruba dog training needs!
If you’ve adopted a puppy, and it’s more overwhelming than you anticipated, we can help.
If your dog is showing signs of aggression, we’ve seen it all before, and we can help.
If you would just like your dog to come when you call and show some basic obedience, we can help.
If you want dog training that doesn’t break the bank, we can help!
We are a commitment-based training company.
This means that we charge one flat fee, rather than an hourly rate. One flat fee is all you pay until the training program is complete. We ask that you dedicate some time and energy to learning the most effective way to communicate with your dog, establish a routine, and set boundaries. In exchange, we make ourselves available for any questions, concerns, or guidance via phone, e-mail, and in person throughout the process.
We are committed to you and your pet until all goals are met.
Get in touch if you want to say goodbye to bad behavior and hello to your best friend.
We focus on helping to nurture a relationship between dog and owner, one that is founded on mutual trust and respect. Through positive reinforcement training, we can teach your dog that you make the rules. Oftentimes, a lack of structure or clear communication can lead to stress and anxiety in dogs.
When you make the rules and enforce them, you aren’t damaging the relationship you have with your dog. In fact, you are improving it by giving them security and reliability. You’re building that trust, and you will see a change in your relationship for the better.
Get in touch if you’ve been told that your dog is beyond help.
We hate hearing that a dog has been labeled a hopeless case. If a trainer says that, it’s usually because they don’t know how to handle the situation, and they feel it’s bad business to admit that.
Our main goal is to avoid rehoming or euthanizing due to undesirable behavior. That’s why we work so hard for our clients and their pups. We don’t judge a dog based on breed, size, age, or even temperament. We know each dog is an individual, and we know there is always a way to help them.
If you’ve heard that your dog is beyond help, call Happy Island Dog Training for a second opinion. Better yet, make us your first and last choice for dog training in Aruba.
