What sets us apart from other Aruba dog trainers?
- We don’t shy away from challenging behaviors.
We’ve seen it all: aggression, anxiety, excessive behaviors, and more. These might seem like impossible problems to solve, but we have the skills to put these issues in the past. In addition to severe behaviors, we’re able to help with milder issues like house training, puppy training, basic obedience, etc.
If your dog has a problem behavior, we can modify it through positive reinforcement training. Better yet, we’ll teach you how to communicate with your pet, so you’ll never feel lost without us!
- We don’t believe in bad breed reputation.
Some trainers refuse to work with certain breeds, such as pit bulls, rottweilers, Dobermans, etc. These breeds have a bad reputation, but at Happy Island Dog Training we know each dog is an individual. Some poodles are vicious, and plenty of pit bulls are big softies.
In addition to promising no breed discrimination, we also don’t discriminate against a dog’s age. We know that old dogs can, in fact, be taught new tricks. Whether your older dog has developed an unappealing behavior, or you’ve rescued a dog from a shelter, we can fix any problem behaviors.
- We offer individualized training regimens.
Every dog is different, so it doesn’t make sense to use the same type of training in every behavioral case. One of the benefits of in-home training is that our canine behavioral specialists can take everything they know about canine psychology and training methods and piece together a plan that will work best for your dog. We also take into account aspects like the family dynamic and daily routines.
In order for the training to last, family members have to be active participants. We will create a customized training program to fit your dog’s temperament, and we’ll make sure it complements your home life.
We Train Aggressive Dogs
Being the owner of an aggressive dog is more stressful than most people realize. It’s not just having a dog that growls, nips, or lunges—it’s having a dog that makes it hard to go for walks, entertain visitors, or take a trip. It’s having a dog you want to love, but...
Puppy Training: Why Start Right Away?
People often roll their eyes when someone compares dog training to child-rearing, but there are some similarities. Hear me out! Both require boundaries and consistency to succeed, and these have to be established early on. You wouldn’t wait until your child was ten...
Some Dogs Just Need More Training!
Some Dogs Just Need More Training! I regularly come across dog owners who are tired, frustrated, and just plain angry. They’ve read the books. They’ve taken their dog (or dogs) to obedience classes. They’ve put in the time and the effort, but their dog still just is...
We are backed by Canine Trade Group, an exclusive network of certified dog trainers.
When you work with a Canine Trade Group trainer, you can feel confident that you are working with a skilled professional. In order to receive a CTG certification, trainers must complete a rigorous program involving study, practical work, and shadowing. Trainers are only included in the network once they have completed the program at a stellar level.
Canine Trade Group has trainers throughout the United States, and we are excited to expand our dog training services to the beautiful island of Aruba.
